Artisan Audio is the UK importer for Quicksilver Audio.Quicksilver Audio has been building well-engineered valve amplifiers since 1981, so qualify as one of the long-term survivors of the audio industry. We were very impressed with Quicksilver Audio’s designs when we heard them at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in 2007.
Quicksilver Audio is an old-school manufacturer. Designer and company president Mike Sanders takes deliberate care in specifying components for his designs to maximise the performance/cost ratio. He is cynical about the audio press and refuses to advertise or provide review samples, instead preferring the word-of-mouth reputation for sound quality and reliability to sell his designs. Search any US audio forum and you will find out how highly regarded Quicksilver Audio’s designs are. When you consider that these products are hand made in California using locally-sourced components you will appreciate what stunningly good value they offer.
