Soundsmith
Soundsmith has been established in New York State for 19 years and has gathered a first class reputation for repairing and restoring classic audio equipment. However, founder Peter Ledermann was formerly engineering director with two major US hi fi companies (Bozak and RAM Audio) and has continued to design and develop innovative audio products. When Bang & Olufsen ceased manufacturing their phono cartridge range, Soundsmith negotiated the right to manufacture and reversed-engineered the manufacturing process. Sustained attention to materials, geometry and manufacturing tolerances have led to the introduction of Soundsmith's own range of moving iron cartridges.
